Bannenberg & Rowell Design has released its latest design concept, the 50-metre, sub-500 GT motor yacht, Isola. The project, designed in close collaboration with Dutch naval architects, Azure Naval Architects, was penned in “the months of isolation” throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, and aimed “to take on that challenge of reconciling length and space within that all-too-familiar 500 GT limit.”
In addition to striking a balance between the length-volume dilemma – creating a sizable yacht that adheres to the 500 GT limit – Isola is described by her designers as “an island for current times.” The superyacht provides guests on board with the freedom to access their exterior environment from within the comforts of a superyacht.
Isola can accommodate her guests across six staterooms, consisting of an owner’s suite and five guest cabins. She boasts a flush swimming pool and an assortment of spaces that provide both privacy and opportunities for socialising.
Conceived by Azure Naval Architects, Isola sports a hybrid propulsion system, unique hull configuration and efficient exterior lines that help to optimise her performance.
