boot 2027 brings the maritime world to Düsseldorf

Over 1,500 manufacturers, retailers and destinations across 15 exhibition halls

Boats and yachts of all sizes

New Diving Hall 13 fully booked

Action and fun in the 65-meters surf pool and new paddling channel

From 23 to 31 January 2027, Düsseldorf will once again become the international hub for the water sports industry. The 58th boot Düsseldorf will welcome over 1,500 manufacturers, retailers and destinations from all over the world, showcasing the diversity of boating, surfing and diving in all their facets.

Director Petros Michelidakis: “In 2027, boot will impress with an enormous variety of models, water sports and travel inspiration. We are once again expecting over 1,000 different boats and yachts. This is a clear vote of confidence for our home port of Düsseldorf. Manufacturers are clearly drawn to Düsseldorf with their product portfolios. Here, in recent years, they have been able to close deals and win new customers despite a general slump in orders. In economically challenging times, a business driver such as boot is a key factor in revitalizing the market. We see ourselves as a partner to the international industry: we pick up on current trends and provide the platform to present them to a large, interested and knowledgeable audience.”

Construction work at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Center will require a slightly modified hall layout for the next two years, as Hall 9 is being modernized and will not be available again until boot 2029.

How will this affect boot 2027?
Exhibitors with RIBs (inflatable boats) and dinghies/tenders from Hall 9 will find a new home in the new Motorboat Hall 17, where they will form part of boot’s Motorboat Walk. Surfing and paddling are moving to Hall 12, which, with its XXL pool and the ‘World of Paddling’, offers plenty of action and fun for everyone. Diving is once again completely under one roof in Hall 13, whilst the Destination & Boat Life segment in Hall 14 showcases charter operators, houseboats and marinas for holidays by and on the water.

Despite the construction work, access from the main north entrance of the exhibition center to Halls 10, 11 and 12 is possible without any problems. A wide, specially protected, covered walkway guides all visitors safely through Hall 9, which is currently undergoing renovation. Michelidakis: “We are, of course, designing the walkway in the ‘boot’ look and feel, making it attractive for our guests. Our new hall layout ensures a quick route both for visitors wishing to move from Halls 4 and 5 to the Eastern Halls and for those entering via the North Entrance. Our colleagues at the CARAVAN SALON have already had positive experiences with this, which we can now put to good use.”

This means that next year, the Motorboat Walk will start in Hall 17 and lead from there via Hall 1 into Halls 3 and 4. In Hall 5, the superboats will follow thematically, with the Superyachts in Hall 6 and the brokers and designers in Hall 7a.

“Our booking situation for motorboats, superboats and superyachts is once again excellent. We have used the past summer months to hold many face-to-face discussions addressing the individual requirements of the exhibitors. The excellent communication with manufacturers and dealers is the foundation that underpins the international success of boot Düsseldorf. In 2027, we will once again welcome exhibitors from almost 70 countries on board. This booking situation is unique worldwide,” explains the boot Director.

Following the impressive Motorboat Walk at boot, visitors can treat their eyes to some maritime art in Hall 7, offering a chance to relax and unwind.

The tour of boot 2027 continues via the new corridor in Hall 9 to the trade fair’s Technology Center. In Halls 10 and 11, there is a wealth of engines and engine technology from the most renowned international manufacturers, every piece of equipment and accessory a boat owner could wish for, refit information, as well as clothing and accessories.

The ‘Surf and Paddle’ Hall 12 will delight fans with new attractions and even more opportunities to get active themselves. With an XXL pool extended to 65 meters, a new bi-level skimboard course and the Surf Academy, this will become the new home of the international surfing and board sports scene for nine days. Together with the new canoe channel, which now winds its way around an artificial island, and the high-rope climbing park, Hall 12 will be the action hub of boot 2027. Top international athletes, four world-class competitions and a significantly expanded range of hands-on activities will attract water sports fans, professionals and anyone keen to try out board sports.

Diving in all its forms, featuring the latest high-tech equipment, dream diving destinations, a thrilling stage program and numerous hands-on sessions for divers of all levels, is the theme in Hall 13. Michelidakis: “The diving hall is fully booked! All the leading manufacturers and retailers are taking part, and over the nine days of the fair we will once again be offering the international diving community a spectacular celebration, good business opportunities and informative exchanges.”

In the adjoining Hall 14, under the theme ‘Destination & Boat Life’, the focus is on maritime destinations, boat charters, international marinas, houseboats and the services offered by numerous nautical organizations and associations. Here, water sports enthusiasts can relax and plan their holidays by or on the water.

Sailors will be drawn to Halls 15 and 16 at boot 2027, where almost all the global players in the sailing boat industry will be on board. In the Sailing Centre, the stage – with its attractive program centered on international sailing regattas and cruises, as well as prominent figures from the world of sailing who will give exciting presentations about their lives on board or their sport – is a real crowd-puller.

In addition, boot sets international standards in the water sports scene with its top-class supporting program. A key component is the blue innovation dock in Hall 10, where exhibiting shipyards showcase pioneering technologies from their development workshops. It is thus a high-caliber platform that brings together visionaries, investors and politicians to make the maritime industry fit for the future. With the ‘ocean tribute’ Award, boot Düsseldorf launched the first marine conservation prize at a trade fair eight years ago and has been providing an international stage for sustainable projects ever since.

An overview of all exhibitors at boot Düsseldorf 2027 will be available in the trade fair’s database from the end of October. Tickets can already be ordered at www.boot.com. The cheapest tickets to the fair – which are also valid for two days – are available through free membership of boot.club. Club members pay €21.00, with a reduced rate of €16.00 for school pupils and students; admission to boot is free for children up to and including the age of 12. The standard admission price for a single day at the fair is €23.00, with a reduced rate of €16.00. The afternoon ticket, which is of particular interest to water sports enthusiasts from the Rhine/Ruhr region, costs €13.00 from Monday to Friday between 2.00 pm and 6.00 pm. Trade visitors pay €28.00 for admission to the fair – a two-day ticket costs €44.00 – and can use their ticket to visit boot from 9.30 am; they also gain access to the three exclusive B2B lounges in Halls 7a, 10 and 14 (all prices apply to online purchases).

The world's largest yacht and water sports fair
With more than 200,000 visitors from over 100 countries and nearly 1,500 exhibitors in Halls 1 to 17, boot Düsseldorf is the world's largest yacht and water sports fair. Both sailors and motor boaters will find a wide variety of boats, dinghies, superboats or super yachts. The popular water sports of diving, surfing, kite surfing, stand up paddling, skimboarding or canoeing are available at boot in all facets and with the appropriate equipment. Attractive stage programs with the stars of the scene, the latest trends and a high-caliber mix of workshops and hands-on activities, both for leisure sports enthusiasts and experts, make the fair unique worldwide. But marine conservation and innovative, sustainable technologies will also be in focus at boot 2027. In cooperation with the European Boating Industry (EBI), for example, the blue innovation dock offers a unique dialogue format with political, economic, technological and media expertise. The next edition of boot Düsseldorf will open its doors from 23 to 31 January 2027. www.boot.com
