After taking delivery of his new 80-foot Sunreef Great White, the Rafael Nadal superyacht has been cruising the Balearics with its owner as captured in a new photoshoot released by Sunreef Yachts today. The avid yachtsman and world’s top tennis player commissioned the customised 24-metre 80 Sunreef Power in 2019.
“Rafael Nadal has been passionate about yachting since childhood and seizes every opportunity to go out into the sea with friends and family,” commented Sunreef Yachts. “The idea to build a customized catamaran has been part of the superstar athlete’s plans for a while.”
To facilitate this lifestyle, Nadal opted for a spacious four-cabin layout with a special owner’s suite on the starboard side that comes with a fold-down balcony that increases the usable space inside the cabin and creates a wonderfully airy environment. With the balcony closed, this area is converted into an ocean-view sofa. A walk-in wardrobe and flip-down ceiling TV rounds off the amenities.
The beamy saloon is surrounded by full-height glazed windows and features two oversized sofas and a dining area for the yacht’s eight guests. Two back-to-back 77-inch TVs turn this area of the yacht into a sports corner to keep up to date with the latest live-action on the courts.
Outdoor dining is possible either on the flybridge or the aft cockpit on the main deck where Great White’s jet ski is stored in a concealed garage beneath. The large swim platform at the stern can be hydraulically lowered into the water for safe and easy launching and retrieval.
Great White is powered by two 1,200 hp engines that give the yacht a top speed of 23 knots and a cruising speed of 16 knots.
