The 49.9-metre yacht Fifty has been launched by Riva in Arcona, Italy. She is the second unit in Riva’s 50 Metri line after Race from 2019. A third hull is currently in build and is expected to be completed in 2022.
The just-built yacht features an exterior and interior styling by Bergamo-based designer Mauro Micheli and is a collaboration between Officina Italiana Design, the firm founded by Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta, and Riva’s Product Strategy Committee led by Mr. Piero Ferrari.
The team behind the 50 Metri model says the 498 GT yacht is “inspired by the genius of Carlo Riva”. Specifically, she is a celebration of the Caravelle and Atlantic series motor yachts of the 1960s and 70s. With a maximum beam of nine metres, the motor yacht was built to a brief that champions comfortable cruising, attention to detail and a new vision of life at sea.
Inside, she has space to accommodate 12 guests over six cabins, assisted by nine crew members. Colour-wise, Fifty showcases blue-tinged shark grey hues as well as style elements and materials that include mahogany, steel and glass.
With twin MTU 8V 4000 M63 diesel engines, the yacht can reach a top speed of 15 knots and cruises comfortably at 11 knots.
Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi says: “Fifty is the demonstration that we Italians know how to imagine and realise masterpieces like no one else in the world. And at this difficult time, my thanks goes to everyone whose skills and efforts have helped build this magnificent ship.”
