The 52.3-metre superyacht DB9 is now for sale. The Palmer Johnson yacht for sale was originally built in 2010 and more recently refitted in 2020. She is part of the Palmer Johnson 170 SportYacht series, and is the only yacht in this range to feature an open sun deck.
The motor yacht for sale features naval architecture from her builder, Palmer Johnson, and exterior and interior design by Nuvolari Lenard. Her hull and superstructure are constructed in aluminium with sweeping curves and sleek lines.
The 495 GT yacht for sale has accommodation for 12 guests across her five luxurious staterooms. Her full-beam master suite is located on the lower deck aft and is accessed by a private staircase. The master features both a walk-in wardrobe and a large en suite bathroom. DB9 also has three doubles, two twins and two pullmans.
Designed with entertainment in mind, DB9 has ample deck space for socialising. Her main deck aft is home to al fresco dining with a large lounge area and a full-service bar. Curved passage ways lead to the foredeck where guests will find a 8-metre swimming pool. To her stern, DB9 features an infinity-edge Jacuzzi pool and oversized sun beds for panoramic views over the ocean. She also has a large swim platform for easy access to the water and her large selection of toys. Her sun deck is home to an additional Jacuzzi as well as lounge seating, al fresco dining, and an open-air cinema.
Performance-wise, DB9 is powered by twin MTU 16V 4000 M93 diesel engines and can reach top speeds of 32.5 knots and a cruising speed of 24 knots.
Peter Thompson, Manager Partner of Yachting Partners International, commented, "DB9 was built by Palmer Johnson U.K. and therefore she is the only Palmer Johnson that does not have to pay the 25 percent import tax that is currently levied on US built vessels. So you can see that it is pretty unique to have this Palmer Johnson yacht built in Chatham, United Kingdom, and to my knowledge, is the only PJ to have been built in Europe."
