The 47.6-metre Baglietto superyacht Lion, hull number 10233, has been launched in La Spezia, Italy. The motor yacht is the third hull of the Baglietto displacement traditional line and has been designed for a South American yacht owner.
She has been built by Baglietto under the supervision of Tommaso Bilotta of Camper & Nicholsons, on behalf of the owner. Like her sister ships, Andiamo and Silver Fox, Lion features exterior design from Francesco Paszowski, though some improvements have been made to her design.
Her interior has been designed by the builders in-house interior team alongside Leonardo Santi, who was chosen by the owner to select the furnishings and decorations. The styling has been completed in warm tones, with glossy woods and bronze inserts against neutral oak panels.
The hull is made from steel with an aluminium superstructure. Her stand out features include a 140 square-metre sun deck, as well as a pool and sun beds at her stern. There is a roll bar and lunch area, with a barbecue and grill, interconnected to the galley by a dumbwaiter.
The sundeck features a slightly adjusted layout, with a larger exterior space, featuring a winter garden with dining for 12 guests. The lower deck includes two double staterooms which can be transformed into four double staterooms due to a sliding partition wall, a feature explicitly requested by the owner.
Her beach deck is 46 square-metres and includes a spa, gym and relaxation area. Lion is powered by MTU 12V2000M72 engines, to a maximum speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 11 knots.
