Dutch yard Van Der Valk has launched its 32 metre custom series superyacht named Jangada 2.

Jangada 2 is now set to begin sea trials ahead of her delivery in June. She will then head to the Mediterranean for a summer season cruising the Côte d'Azur before making her debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September.

The yacht is the fifth biggest superyacht from the yard’s custom series line and the second largest overall after the 36.8 metre Santa Maria T.

The design and styling were created by Nick Top and Guido De Groot to a "very specific brief", while the naval architecture was developed in-house with a moderate-V hard chine hull shape.

Jangada 2 sports a number of custom features chosen by the owner. These include a flybridge deck with an outdoor helm station, al fresco dining and sunbathing area, as well as a wet bar. Another key request was for the VIP suite bathroom to be closed off for use by guests during the day, as well as expanding the crew accommodation and galley.

Jangada 2_ _is also equipped with an 800kg crane for deploying and retrieving tenders and toys and curved glass sliding doors leading to the saloon. Inside, the yacht features a minimalist interior in whitewashed European oak.

Accommodation is for a total of 11 guests split across five cabins including a main deck owner’s suite. Meanwhile, the crew quarters meanwhile are suitable for a staff of up to five people.

Designer Nick Top previously said: "It’s a real pleasure to work with an experienced owner and create a functional GA that meets the requirements of the owner, even taking into account any future grandchildren.”

Power will come from a pair of MTU 12V2000 M96L engines capable of pushing the Van Der Valk 32M RPH to an estimated top speed of 24 knots and cruising speed of 18 knots.
