Unknown person’s tried on Sunday evening 24/02/2013 to steal navigational equipment from the vessel of former President Glafkos Klirides. What they achieved was to caused damage to the vessel. On Monday morning, the former president of the Republic went with his garrison for the daily ride with his boat 'Glaucus'. But reaching the marina of Larnaca and occupants on board noticed that the vessel was broken and there were several damages. The damages were mainly cuts of cables in thief’s effort to steal some electronic instruments. Larnaka Police department was contacted which received several items from the scene that may lead to the perpetrators. The boat was repaired at the same day and President Klirides enjoys the daily rides with his Boat.
