Limassol Marina: One Year On

In an atmosphere fitting for the thriving new destination, Limassol Marina celebrated a year of operation on the weekend of Saturday 27^th and Sunday 28^th of June with live music and activities for the visitors along the promenade.

The waterfront development opened its gates to the public in June 2014 and has since been attracting an average of 3,000 visitors daily. The combination of living, yachting, dining, shopping, fitness, leisure and cultural facilities has paved the way for a new lifestyle, with the ease of accessibility and variety on offer driving traffic throughout the seasons.

A year on, and following a string of successful milestones, Limassol Marina has also delivered its first exclusive villas with private berths or direct access to the beach to their owners. It has welcomed some of the world’s most distinguished superyachts, of up to 97m in length and, more recently, extended its shop offering with world-renowned brands like Graff Diamonds, Halcyon Gallery, Sunseeker, Vilebrequin and Shiraz. The impending completion of the new restaurant by Carob Mill Restaurants Ltd is just another highly anticipated milestone peering over the horizon.

Limassol Marina’s CEO, Mr Andreas Christodoulides, commented on the first operational year: “It has been an incredible journey. Challenging but always rewarding! We are very pleased with the results to date and by the way the local community has embraced this project. There is still a lot to look forward to.”
