The superlative of modern motor yacht building is in the making, the mould construction for the spectacular Fjord 48 Open has begun

This summer will be the most exciting yet. Until now, it existed only on paper and in the heads of the designers. Today, we can give you a first glimpse of our latest model, which comes with a whole host of surprising details. We are referring to the new Fjord 48 Open, which is due to celebrate its premiere this coming summer.

The first pictures of the form already give a sense of the dynamic and distinctive lines created by the world known designer Patrick Banfield. With a length of 15.20m and a width of 4.80m, a new dimension of space has been created on deck. The hand-laminated vinylester hull is designed as a full sandwich with foam filling. A high freeboard around the deck ensures safety on the sea. In the stern area, future owners can choose between cockpit tables, which can be transformed into an extended lounger, or a dinghy garage with integrated electric slip system, perfect for a Williams Jet Tender, for example.

Below deck, the Fjord 48 Open offers space for relaxing trips with two generous cabins, each with their own wet area.

The new model is powered with up to three IPS 600 Volvo Penta diesel motors with 435 hp each.
