- Registrations have begun for the biggest exhibition of professional crewed charter yachts in the world.

 -A large number of attendees and trade visitors are expected again at this year’s event.

The Mediterranean Yacht Show (MEDYS), widely recognised by the global yachting industry as one of the most important and productive events on the annual calendar, is set to return to the port of Nafplion from the 2^nd to the 6^th of May 2020. Registrations for the 7^th MEDYS, owned and organised by the Greek Yachting Association, are in full swing and the strong interest that has already been expressed in the event is the first positive indication of a successful outcome.

Since its establishment, the MEDYS has been playing a significant role in the growth and development of yachting tourism in Greece and the Eastern Mediterranean. It creates a unique link between the yachts, central agents and brokers, and exhibitors with yachting associated products and services, with the ultimate objective of generating business for all. With the 6th MEDYS recording the registration of 102 luxury crewed charter yachts with a cumulative length of 3,5 kilometres and the participation of more than 450 brokers from 31 countries, expectations for this year’s show are indeed very high.

Having already extended its duration by one day in 2019, the MEDYS will once again run for 5 days in 2020, providing brokers who have travelled from all corners of the globe with more time to inspect the yachts on show.

The MEDYS will also host the now customary, and increasingly challenging, Chefs’ Competition, along with a series of themed events and receptions that facilitate networking.

The finest luxury crewed yachts that are available for charter in Greece and the Eastern Mediterranean, an international audience of charter professionals, the best of ancillary services, a spectacular location, and a social agenda that is unmatched, make the MEDYS the must-attend show of the year.

The Mediterranean Yacht Show is organised by the Greek Yachting Association with the support of the Municipality of Nafplion, and under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism. Given the increasing and complex operational needs of such an event, the contribution of both the government and local authorities is vital and greatly valued.
