The 6th Mediterranean Yacht Show took place once again in the historic port town of Nafplion and proved to be a great success, with key figures in the yachting world enjoying 5 days of business and pleasure. 

A magnificent collection of luxury crewed charter yachts, having a cumulative L.O.A. of more than 3.5 km, moored in the picturesque harbour and welcomed more than 450 international brokers throughout the show. Attendees from 31 countries had the opportunity to acquaint themselves with the excellent range of yachts available for charter in Greece & the Eastern Mediterranean and to experience at first hand the wonderful hospitality of the captains and crews.

MEDYS was packed with entertaining events, from the glamorous opening reception on day one to the gastronomy challenge of the Chefs’ Competition, as well as several entertaining yacht parties. The magnificent location of Nafplion itself played a large part in the success of the show, which has become a firm favourite with yachting agencies and charter brokers from all over the world. The popular Chefs’ Competition saw the expert contestants creating an impressive array of succulent dishes based around this year’s theme of “Gourmet Beach Food”, with a panel of judges led by the 2 Michelin star chef of the Spondi restaurant Aggelos Lantos and internationally renowned chef Thanos Stasinos.

The show finished on a high note with the customary sounding of the horns, while the attendees celebrated the ending of another marvellous event and made a pledge to return again next year.
