Hundreds of thousands of people of Cypriot origin live far from the island. The vast majority are successful, creative, and deeply connected to their homeland. This dynamic talent unites the Cyprus Diaspora Forum around a bold economic vision: to act as a driving force for foreign investment, the spread of innovation, and influence on policymaking.
The four-day conference, held in Limassol in May 2025 with over 2,000 delegates from more than 30 countries, was not merely an opportunity to reconnect; it was a living platform that redefined Cyprus’s global networking model. Distinguished speakers from around the world shared ideas, businesses connected with investors, notable individuals were recognized, critical topics were debated, and educational workshops provided practical tools. Together, participants showcased the impact of the Cypriot diaspora, highlighting the wealth of opportunities it represents for the country’s future.
Also in attendance were Cypriots who have permanently returned home, as well as international partners and residents who chose to link their lives and activities to Cyprus. Interest was particularly strong among private individuals and investment entities seeking new opportunities in rapidly growing sectors of the economy, as well as partnerships with local businesses aiming for global expansion.
One of the event’s highlights was the CYDIA 2025 Awards, presented to individuals who, through their work, have promoted Cyprus on the international stage—from business and science to arts and culture.

Looking ahead, the 3rd Cyprus Diaspora Forum will be held in Limassol from 6 to 9 May 2026, ready to build upon and enrich the legacy of the first two editions.
